PD That Actually Changes the Way You Teach (and How Students Learn)

This online workshop gives you the routines, templates, and mindset shifts to turn “wrong answers” into real understanding. In less than an afternoon, you’ll learn how to:

01

🧠 Build a classroom culture where students analyze their own errors.

02

🔁 Help them retain essential skills longer through reflection, not repetition.

03

💪 Watch your students finally start believing they can actually do math.

This does this sound like you....

You're stuck in this cycle:

You’re reteaching the same skills every week and still seeing the same mistakes.

You’re juggling pacing guides, grading, and IEP goals—and there’s zero time for “extra routines.”

You’ve tried “growth mindset” talks, but your students still shut down when they’re wrong.

You want to build confidence, but the curriculum doesn’t leave space for reflection.

And you’re tired of PD that preaches theory without giving you anything you can actually use on Monday.

Sound familiar? Yup! That was me too!

Here's the truth:

Mistakes aren’t proof that students aren’t learning.
They’re proof that they’re trying to.

Once you start treating mistakes as data—not disasters—you unlock an entirely new level of clarity, confidence, and connection in your classroom.
You don’t need a new curriculum or hours of prep. You just need a few powerful routines that make reflection part of your everyday teaching.

Meet your instructor

Hi, I'm Stephanie

Hey, I’m Stephanie Marrero, the teacher behind Algebra Made Simple.

I spent over a decade teaching special education math in NYC public schools—inside self-contained classrooms, co-taught rooms, and everything in between.

And I know what it feels like to hold it all together: reteaching during your prep, writing IEPs at midnight, questioning your own teaching because your students keep making the same mistakes.

That’s what led me here.

This workshop is everything I wish I had back then—practical, flexible, and built with real classrooms in mind.

This is for you if:

✅ You teach middle or high school math.

✅ You’re tired of reteaching the same concepts and want a smarter approach.

✅ You care deeply about student confidence and classroom culture.

✅ You love PD that’s hands-on, practical, and not a waste of time.

This is not for you if:

You early intervention or early childhood education

  You're not a math teacher

🚫 This is not for you if you want a quick fix or aren’t open to changing how you view mistakes.
