🌟You’re a middle or high school math teacher who’s tired of pretending this job isn’t hard.
You’ve got 30 kids, 10 IEPs, 5 levels in one class—and a boxed curriculum that makes zero sense.
You’re juggling last-minute lessons and wondering, “Why does no one talk about how chaotic this is?”
✋ You’re not alone.
Math Teacher Lounge is your new go-to space for practical PD, real strategies, and resources that actually help you teach.
🤔 Does this sound like you?
- 🫠 You’ve sat through one too many PDs led by someone who hasn’t taught in years — if ever.
- 🫠 You’re craving actual strategies for your real students, not just buzzwords or surface-level tips.
- 🫠 You’ve begged for training on things like scaffolding, classroom routines, and spiral review — and got nothing useful in return.
- 🫠 You’re tired of being handed a worksheet and told “this supports all learners” when it’s clearly one-size-fits-none.
- 🫠You’re a great teacher who wants to get even better — but you need relevant, practical, and ready-to-implement support.

🙌 You’re not behind. You’re not the problem.
You’re teaching real kids with real gaps—without the tools, time, or training you actually need.
You’ve got high expectations and a heart of gold…
but you’re stuck reteaching decimals for the fifth time, trying to differentiate on the fly, and wondering how to reach the kid who’s already checked out.
You don’t need more fluff. You need real strategies, flexible resources, and PD that gets what it’s like to teach math in 2025.
Welcome to the Lounge. We speak your language here.

Meet the Teacher Behind the Squad 💛
Hey hey! I’m Stephanie — a proud Dominicana, special needs mom, former NYC teacher, and forever fan of tacos, sci-fi shows, and turning chaos into confidence (in life and in the classroom).
I was born and raised in Washington Heights, NYC, and now I’m living the Florida Life! English isn’t my first language, so I deeply understand what it feels like to be an English Language Learner trying to make sense of it all — and that lens has shaped how I teach, how I scaffold, and how I support.
Before building Algebra Made Simple, I spent over a decade teaching math in every special education setting you can imagine — co-teaching, self-contained, SETSS, you name it. I hold a BA in Government and a Master’s in Adolescent Special Education, and I’m also certified to teach special education in both New York and Florida.
My passion? Helping students build confidence in math — not just because they “get it,” but because they start to believe that they’re problem solvers. Because they are. Every single one of them.
As a teacher, I lived that Sunday Scaries life — piecing together lessons at 6am, trying to make boxed curriculum work for students who were multiple grade levels behind, and wondering if I’d ever find a system that worked. I knew there had to be a better way… so I created it.
Now, I help middle school math and Algebra 1 teachers feel more prepared, more supported, and way more confident with scaffolded, editable resources that actually work — and bite-sized PD that’s practical, real, and never just theory in a slideshow.

A few fun facts about me:
🌮 I will always say yes to tacos
📺 I can binge Battlestar Galactica or Silo like it’s my job (Sci-Fi is my Jam!)
🇨🇳 I lived in China for a year during undergrad — and yes, I still remember a little Mandarin!
💃🏽 I love to cook, dance, and blast music while doing both
I pour my whole heart into everything I create because I’ve been the teacher with too much to do and not enough time to do it. You deserve resources and PD that actually lighten your load — and students who feel seen, supported, and successful.
Let’s build a classroom where math makes sense, routines run smoothly, and you actually have time to breathe. 🫶
You’re Already Doing the Most. Stop doing it alone.
You’re showing up for your students every single day—rethinking lessons, reteaching gaps, and trying to make math click for kids who’ve already decided they’re “bad at it.”
You’re not short on effort. You’re short on real support.
Let’s change that.
Imagine what this year could look like if:
✔️ Your PD actually gave you usable strategies
✔️ You had customizable templates ready to go
✔️ You spent less time scrambling and more time feeling confident in what you’re teaching
Now imagine staying stuck in survival mode—trying to “figure it out” with YouTube videos and outdated slides.
You don’t have to do that anymore.
Math Teacher Lounge is here to help you teach math in a way that feels good again—for you and your students.
Because you deserve more than generic PD and copy-paste lessons.
You deserve real support from someone who gets it.
And that’s exactly what you’ll find inside. 💛
