🌟This is for you if...
You’re a middle school or Algebra 1 math teacher who’s tired of scrambling for:
-
something solid for tomorrow, and
-
reassurance that this job isn’t supposed to feel this hard all the time.
You want a place to go when you’re thinking, “There has to be a better way to teach this… without burning myself out.”
A place where the lessons already make sense, the scaffolds are built in, and you’re not doing all the heavy lifting alone.
👋 You’re in the right place.
Algebra Teacher Squad is your go-to hub for real classrooms, real students, and real teaching days. Built to help math finally click without the constant chaos.
🤔 Be honest… does this sound familiar?
- 🫠You’re teaching grade-level content to students who are years behind and somehow you’re still expected to keep pace like that gap doesn’t exist.
- 🫠 You’re constantly tweaking your boxed curriculum: adding scaffolds it never included, reteaching skills it assumed kids already knew, and patching holes that were never yours to fix.
- 🫠 You want math to feel engaging and relevant for your Gen Alpha students,
but everything you find is either painfully boring or so “cute” it misses the math entirely. - 🫠You’ve tried activities that look great on paper… only to realize your students are more confused than confident because there’s no structure, and no support built in.
- 🫠And every Monday feels the same: the pacing guide keeps moving, your students need more time, and you’re the only one trying to hold it all together.
If this feels uncomfortably accurate, it’s not because you’re failing. It’s because you’re teaching real kids in a system that wasn’t built for them
You’re exhausted from reteaching the same skills, trying to differentiate on the fly, and figuring out how to make math feel possible for students who already decided they’re “bad at it.”
You care deeply. You hold high expectations.
You don’t need another theory-heavy PD.
You don’t need fluff.
And you definitely don’t need another boxed curriculum that pretends your students are robots.
You need access.
You need structure.
You need support that actually works in the classroom you have not the one in a textbook.
And that’s exactly what this space was built for.
I get it! Like, for real. I was that teacher standing at the copier before first period, five tabs open, stitching together lessons and hoping this one would finally land.
- I didn’t want teaching to feel like a guessing game.
- I didn’t want to keep blaming myself when the curriculum didn’t support my students with IEPs, my ELLs, or kids who were multiple grade levels behind.
So I stopped trying to force broken systems to work.
And I built the thing I wish someone had handed me years ago.
A one-stop, no-judgment space with scaffolded, editable math resources and bite-sized PD that actually helps, without the theory overload, guilt, or burnout culture.
Algebra Teacher Squad is your shortcut to calmer prep, clearer lessons, and students who finally say, “Oh… I get it.”

"I teach within a resource room setting and my students need alot of repeated practice to master a skill. This assignment was very scaffolded which I thought was very helpful. The students first practiced each skill in isolation and worked up to a multi step equation. The students also were able to receive instant feedback by telling them if the answer was correct or incorrect."

Meet the Teacher Behind the Squad 💛
Hey, I’m Stephanie, former NYC math teacher, proud Dominicana, special needs mom, and the person who turned years of classroom chaos into systems that actually work.
I was born and raised in Washington Heights, NYC, and now I’m living the Florida life. English isn’t my first language, so I know firsthand what it feels like to sit in class trying to keep up while everything feels just a little out of reach. That experience shaped how I teach, how I scaffold, and how I support students who’ve been told, explicitly or not, that math “just isn’t for them.”
Before building Algebra Made Simple, I spent over a decade teaching middle school and Algebra 1 math in every special education setting imaginable (Co-teaching, self-contained, SETSS, inclusion). I’ve sat in and facilitated the IEP meetings. I’ve taught students 3+ grade levels behind. I’ve tried to make boxed curriculum work when it clearly wasn’t designed for real kids.
And I lived the Sunday Scaries life.
- Standing at the copier before first period.
- Piecing together lessons from five different tabs.
- Praying it would land.
I didn’t need more theory.
I needed systems.
So I built what I wish I’d had: scaffolded, editable resources and bite-sized PD that actually help teachers teach, without burning themselves out in the process.
Now, I support middle school and Algebra 1 teachers who care deeply about their students, hold high expectations, and just want math to make sense again, for their kids and for themselves.
A few fun facts about me:
🌮 I will always say yes to tacos
📺 I can binge Battlestar Galactica or Silo like it’s my job (Sci-Fi is my Jam!)
🇨🇳 I lived in China for a year during undergrad — and yes, I still remember a little Mandarin!
💃🏽 I love to cook, dance, and blast music while doing both
I pour my whole heart into everything I create because I’ve been the teacher with too much to do and not enough time to do it. You deserve resources and PD that actually lighten your load — and students who feel seen, supported, and successful.
Let’s build a classroom where math makes sense, routines run smoothly, and you actually have time to breathe. 🫶

You deserve more than survival mode—your students do too.
You care deeply about your students. You’re already doing everything you can to make math make sense for them—even if that means staying late, googling activities at 10pm, or reworking lessons on the fly. But here’s the truth:
You shouldn’t have to hustle this hard to be an effective teacher.
Imagine what the rest of this school year (and your life) could look like with the right tools at your fingertips, the planning already done, and PD that actually moves the needle.
Now imagine nothing changes.
You keep spinning your wheels. You keep stitching together lessons from random PDFs. You keep second-guessing if what you’re doing is “enough.”
Or—you can choose the support you deserve.
Join Algebra Teacher Squad and get back to doing what you do best: teaching math in a way that connects, supports, and transforms.
Because your time matters. Your students matter. And you?
You absolutely don’t have to do this alone anymore.
